east coast tours

so much happens in one's life, and with the windows down, it's not always easy to keep up with things like the internet and blogging. ha! Driving a lot these days...touring. so so good. so nice to be in the crispy autumn season now.

Summer in L.A. was a serious whirlwind of doingness and activity and work (the good kind) but quite intense. So it's a relief to be hanging out with gilli moon, touring, playing, revelating.

The shows in Baltimore were incredible, and hosted by Susan Souza. Amazing artist and community leader. check out http://www.womenskiss.org/

(Kickass Indie Singer/Songwriters). yep.

Boston was very cool too, got to take a tour of the Sonicbids offices....if you're not familiar with sonicbids, these people are so nice, and launched the EPK revolution, which simplifies our lives as musicians and promotors, immensely. www.sonicibids.com/melissamullins (to see an example).
now we're off to nyc...excited.

motr record update
We've got eight of eleven songs mixed now; it sounds different than you'd imagine where I thought I was going, but then thats life; I've let go a ton and really just let the songs take on their own life versus struggle with them and my own head... easier to let go. So I'm pretty excited overall and know its gonna be what it is and sound professional, with Gilli Moon and Matt Thorne on the job.
hooray!

Tourland update

moons have passed since the last posting...partly due to distractions...partly due to not having a blogger habit ingrained. Tourland has kept me rather busy since March!

Travel, for me, is the best form for transformation and growth.

Since March, I've traveled and toured through Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennesee, New Mexico, Colorado, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Intense.

I am now in Colorado again, en route to Los Angeles via Tucson.

To the right, I'm playing and being filmed at the South Park Music Tour in Fairplay, CO. Good times abound at 10,000 feet elevation...dang it's hard to sing at full force without getting dizzy!

It's a strange feeling visiting places again that I was just in a month ago and six months ago (like Colorado...was here in May, December, and September). I say strange because of how much my life has changed in the short span of a year. I was at the South Park event the last two years as well, but this year was definitely my favorite....such welcoming people there and so kind! Not to mention the scenery....

I'm excited for what's to come on the western horizon...everyone's got their opinion about L.A. but for me, it's land of opportunity, productivity and creativity.

hooray!

I feel I'll be catapulted quickly through time over the next six months, just through sheer busy-travel-modes.
